Seismic Services

Sauls Seismic, LLC has been in the seismic monitoring business for over four decades. Our team of engineers, geologists and technicians has gained a reputation in the industry for professionalism and excellence. We offer the most advanced seismic monitoring stations available. Using industry leading Nomis Seismographs, our technicians follow the ISEE Field Practice Guidelines and install the sensors with great attention placed on proper coupling.

Whether you need immediate results by text message, email or online through NOW AccessSM, your data is made available anytime you need it.

Why is Vibration Monitoring Important?

Seismograph information is used to show compliance with regulations or specified limits, to evaluate blast design performance and provides valuable evidence if litigation arises. Accurate and timely measurements can provide immediate results that can assist in reducing the costs associated with your operation.

Sauls delivers the seismograph data through NOW AccessSM, our proprietary website. Within minutes of blasting or heavy construction activity, our customers will  receive validated seismograph readings via text or email. We have found this serves as an excellent data record while making those readings available on our website for blast design, public relations considerations, and regulatory compliance.

How Does Vibration Monitoring Work?

Sauls’ techs are experts in selecting locations and properly deploying the graphs to ensure accuracy of seismic readings, and Sauls’ NOW AccessSM data management and storage system, combined with telemetry and remote monitoring stations, deliver immediate data. This optimizes the communication window when planning the next blasting/construction event and mitigates future concerns.

NOW AccessSM offers the latest in computer records availability.

Sauls uses Nomis Seismographs, which are manufactured and calibrated to the most recent version of the ISEE’s Performance Specifications of Blasting Seismographs. Through historical regulatory testing, Nomis has performed at the top of all brands.

Additional monitoring tools to help aid in community relations are displacement/crack gauges. These clearly show the effects of environmental changes within existing cracks in a structure compared to the effects of blasting and construction. Digital sensors, which can record changes as small as a micron, monitor real-time widths of separations to evaluate a building’s response to blasting and environmental forces. All data is available via NOW AccessTM anytime you need it.  By having the ability to prove that an existing crack did not widen during a blast, this data can prove to be invaluable when dealing with homeowner complaints.

If your job calls for a remote monitoring station or a technician on site, our team will help you find the right solution for your project.
